  1. going to the bathroom eating and drinking water and s*x

  2. Shopping.  I now ask myself do I really need this???  Mostly the answer is no, what I have already will do for a bit longer.  Using what is in the back of cupboards or freezer instead of buying more.  I am drinking a lot more water, cutting out fizzy drinks, reducing other beverages.  Tap water is good where I live, so no bottled water.

Petrol.  I park the car somewhere central and walk to the different places I have to go.

Parking charges.  I have noted places where parking is free (particular supermarkets etc.)

Phone.  I have a phone package which gives me free landline calls.  The mobile is mainly for texting -  its calls are too expensive.

Power and heating.  Earlier to bed uses less of both.  Laundry drying in the open air whenever possible.  I am going to attach a timer to my hot water cylinder immersion heater. I don't need scalding water 24/7.

Detergent.  I have discovered soap pods (also called soap nuts) which work well for me and cost a fraction of soap powders.

Bin and refuse charges.  Where I live, we pay by volume (per bag) or weight (per trailer).  I recycle as much as possible, cuts waste charges to a minimum.

Meals out.  I  invite friends home and bring sandwiches to work.

I haven't cut back on food - yet -  but I often shop at the end of the day when many items are reduced to clear, and watch out for special offers, and I plan meals around those.

And if I have any money left over at the end of the week, I save it away.  So far, so good.

  3. Driving, Clothes Shopping, Less Going out to Eat, and Less Travel

  4. Driving, eating, having fun by going out.

  5. Travel, shopping, eating out.  But I havent cut everything out I just try to keep things in balance.

  6. Driving for one, and cut back on groceries. I also buy my clothes on sale. I keep driving my old vehicle for now, instead of a new one.

  7. Driving unnecessary places....Groceries....Eating out every week at some nice restaurant....
