What have you done for Insomnia?

I rarely sleep at night. My main problem is that I have trouble falling asleep. I've tried Benadryl and some over the counter sleep aids but to no avail. Any suggestions or stories of your own stories of insomnia?

  1. hubby had the same problem too. We also tried this melatrol and problem is gone. for more info visit http://www.melatrol.com/?aid=830371 they are giving a free trial

  2. try a natural product. Had the same problem years back. even tried valium. but when i told my doctor that it just make me feel tired but still  can't sleep. she gave me melatrol. it's a natural product  that can help you relax thus sleeping will not be a problem. Maybe you should try it.

  3. I used to feel the same way. Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had problems sleeping. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  4. Benadryl was going to be the first thing i recommended, but i take it in combo with meletonin. I've had insomnia for so long and it got to the point to where i would stay up a night or two a week. I finally went to a doctor and was diagnosed with stress induced insomnia, and was perscribed an anti anxiety medication. I suffered from racing thoughts at night that would keep me up but that has helped alot, if this is your problem i would recommend seeing a doctor. A good natural sleep medication is valerian root or l thianine for relaxation. I would recommend natural over perscription due to the various side effects. Another thing that has helped me is working out or exercising, with my body feeling worn out i can sleep alot easier. Stretching also relaxes your body so its good to do before going to sleep, try and find something to help you with relaxation. I hope you find something that works for you, i know insomnia isin't fun.

  5. I dont have too many suggestions, but here they are:

    1. Banadryl only works for some people, it causes excitment in others[espeacially children]

2.just keep your eyes closed, don't open them if you can't sleep! the longer theyre closed, the more likly you are to drift off into sleep.

    3. make a sleep schedule. for examlpe: i always drink a mug of warm milk before bed. it tricks my mind into me being sleepy!
