What have you done to cut back on polluting and etc???

We always throw garbage in the trashcan.  I heard that in the 70's people were pretty upset with the way people would throw garbage out the windows of their cars, and that's when the cleanup started.

Statistics show that we've done a great job of cutting down on pollution since then and the US is at one of the lowest levels of pollution in the world.  Sadly, China is one of the worst polluters.  They pour toxins etc into the rivers causing diseases and death.  It's awful.

Is there any way we can get other countries to cut down on pollution?

I am buying solar cells and charging batteries to light up my home. I wish for everyone be able to produce there own energy at home with out oil and gas but with things like the Stirling Engine systems that are powered by a low temperature difference, and the solar cells, wind turbines,or thermodynamic generators.

Recycle waste food /paper for compost.

Use Solar energy for water heating / cooking.

Use electric vehicles.

Plant more trees.

Buy less chemical and synthetic stuff.
