  1. soo many things, the playoff races are great, especially the Rays..

here are a few more things...

    Josh Hamilton comeback

    Manny's fan high five

    Ozzie Gullien interviews

  2. John Lester throwing a no hitter. It was cool seeing a guy come back from cancer and throw a no hitter

  3. I like that Carlos Quentin was traded for a Minor League player, and was supposed to be a bench player behind Jerry Owens(In Minors now), and ended up getting playing time because Owens got injured and he is an all-star leading the MLB in home runs, that is freaking retarded.

  4. i liked the most the phillies rally back to beat the mets all the time

  5. The giants are 21-3 in Tim Lincecum's start. Lincecum is 14-3 and 7 extra wins were won by the bullpen in his starts. What is kinda sad is that w/o Lincecum, the Giants are 36-70. .339, 33.9%!!! That is worse than the Nationals. Even the Giants didn't have Lincecum, they would be one of the worst teams in major league history!

  6. The NL Central being the best division in the league.

  7. I agree. It is great to see the Rays competing. I also am happy about the year that Fernando Tatis is having for the Mets. He might be comeback of the year...or maybe Carlos Delgado.

  8. I would have to say the best thing would be that all the division and wild card races, with exception of the A.L. West, are close and should come down to the last week. .

  9. Well i liked watching Tim Lincecum pitch , i love my Yankees but you can tell what up with them lol

  10. Acquiring CC Sabathia from the Cleveland Indians

Our road record is over .500

Sweeping the Cardinals at Busch Stadium in 4 games

  11. That my Twins have surprised me and I are in the playoff hunt.

I agree with you. It's nice to see some variety in the AL East.

  12. to me its the young talent.  Its fun to watch to be honest.  Seeing athletes like Soto, Ludwick, Lincecum, and so many more that show so much allstar potential for years to come.

  13. 1) The rise of the Rays to shake up the AL East

    2) The Cubs playing so well

    3) Josh Hamilton at the Home Run Derby (Phoenix: I'm a Canadian too, but let's face it - Hamilton was the story)

    4) When Rich Harden was traded to the Cubs, Ryan Dempster joked that he could finally speak British Columbian with someone -  and some not-so-bright Americans actually fell for it (hint: we speak English in B.C.)

    5) The return to "normal" Home Run and RBI stats in the post-steroids era.

    6) The corresponding rise of great young pitchers, including Jon Lester's no hitter after coming back from cancer

    7) Greg Maddux getting win #350

    8) Randy Johnson coming back and chasing win #300

A good year already, and there's still a month of pennant races to go.

  14. Cubs having a great year and Justin Morneau who is Canadian like me winning the Home Run derby.

  15. When Skip Caray died

  16. Oh wow it's hard to choose. Josh Hamilton being a powerhouse in the MLB, the Rays coming out of no where to finally shake up the AL East, Cliff Lee becoming a top 3 pitcher in the MLB after spending half the season in the minors last year, Jon Lester's no hitter. But as a Cubs fan, I'm going to have to go with the Cubs exceeding the expectations of almost everybody, including me. And watching the Cubs sweep the Brewers in that 4 game series was the highpoint of the season which proved the Cubs were for real. And after Ryan Dempster blew games last year day after day as our closer, emerging as one of the better pitchers in the MLB. Top 10 if you ask me.

  17. The Cubs having a good year & the Rays surprising everyone.

  18. c.c. sabathia being perfect after coming over from the tribe to the brew crew

  19. The thing that stands out to me about this year is its unexpected greats. Cliff Lee, a nearly unknown pitcher on the Indians, who spent some time in the minors last year is now far and away the best starting pitcher in the majors, with a 19-2 record and a 2.43 ERA. Josh Hamilton is in contention for MVP, and I'm sure everyone here knows his amazing story. Carlos Quentin leads the majors in home-runs, and before this year, no one but the Diamondbacks fans knew who he was. The newly named Rays are one of the best teams in the majors, when in every past year they never finished above 4th place in their division. Ryan Ludwick is yet another great story, he has nearly doubled all of his career stats in this one year, and he has been in the majors for around 7 or 8 years. Lastly, the Cubs haven't won a World Series in 100 years now. They are currently the best team in baseball, and them winning the WS would be the icing on this cake.
