Flytipping is the illegal dumping of waste usually at the side of small roads.

If you see some visually inspect the waste and try to determine what the waste consists of and how much there is, but don't touch it could contain dangerous things.

Call your local council or environment agency representative...

  1. I saw fridges & washing machines few weeks ago so told the local council few days later they'd been removed

  2. That is very good advice,  what about all those MacDonalds wrappers and drinks cartons I see strewn around in laybys. MacDonalds shoul dbe made to pay for cleaning it all up.

  3. The local council are the problem in this area. They have taken it upon themselves to completely close down the local tip for two years. They have failed to provide any alternative arrangements such as skips. What do suggest we do about that.

  4. Good suggestions, at present there is a flytipping epidemic as regulations mean that vehicle tyres cannot go to landfill. So cowboy garages are coming across county borders to flytip tyres straight off lorries.

Issues for collection are hindering effective recording of figures!

    1) If it is less than a van load then its the responsibility of the local  borough council,

    2) If it is more than a van load it is the county council,

    3) If it is hazardous then the Environment agency

    4) if on your land - your problem.

It is actually going to get worse before it gets better yet as well because of increases in landfill tax and the WEEE directive.

  5. WTF?!

  6. ok
