  2. #1.  p**s off other boaters trying to safely enjoy the waters you would be dangerously disturbing.  You would definitely hear at least 15 seconds of loud and angry obscenities if you did that near my boat.  That and an immediate cell phone call to the closest law enforcement agency in charge to report the offending vessel.

#2.  Two, hit the wake wrong and land too close to the boat you are passing behind or you could accidently push the steering into the boat and hit it after hitting the wake wrong.

#3.  You could approach too quickly and fail to correct in time.   Like the equivalent of going too fast in a traffic jam and not stopping in time.

#4.  The boat or ship's draft could pull your PWC violently into the side of the boat or ship if you are too close to the port or starboard sides of the vessel's hull.

#5.  Shell out a lot of money in fines or for some offenses, seizure of vessel.

  3. 1. The wake can cause an inexperienced (or veteran) rider to take a fall.

    2. There is a possiblibty of a collision (being in close proximity to spinning props is not a good thing).

    3. It is illegal. Fines can be very costly.
