What hdtv's dont make a high pitch noise?

Question

I just got 32inch samsung series 5 hdtv and it's making a high pitch noise that is driving me crazy! I had same problem with LG tvs thought I was getting defective ones but I now notice that all of the tvs make this noise in my house. The other ones are tube tvs and they are much worse.

I dont have tinutis and I know about the flyback transformers now. I realize pretty much all I can do is take it to a service center and see if they can muff the sound completely (has anyone done it?) or buy a different brand. But when I go to the store and listen to the tv's its almost impossible to tell which ones are making the noise and which ones are not since there is music playing in the store and when one tv is making high pitch noise it seems like they all are....maybe they are!!!

So my question is this. Do all tv's make this noise? And is there a list or do you know of any hdtv that does not make this noise? Anyone know if 32inch samsung series 6 have the same problem?

I have a Samsung 42" plasma and I have never heard what you are describing at all.

your hearing is way too sensitive. Recommend you go see a Slipknot concert

If you have a cable box the noise is coming through it.My TV did that and had to get a new cable box to correct the problem..Cable said that sometimes if you reboot the box noise will go away..You will have to call cable for how to reboot..Just a thought..
