  1. Teens are facing a whole lot of health problems. For e.g sexually tansmitted diseases, obesity, teen pregnancy, diabetes, abuse, depression, bulimia, anorexia, cancer, malnutrition. I personally think that all these problems have increased. In terms of sexually tansmitted diseases more teens are becoming more sexually active than what was happening previously basically becuase some people's value systems have changed and they no longer see it necessary to wait until marriage to have s*x. In terms of obesity as a result of fast food becoming even more popular teens are eating more oily foods instead of eating fruits and vegetables. Also this world is becoming more fast paced and as a result people prefer to eat out rather than cook and they end up sometimes eating some very unhealthy things. Also of importance is that advertisements help to propel people to eat more unhealthy using subliminal messaging and using various tactics. For e.g In terms of McDonals the advertisers try to link emotions to food. So you have Ronald McDonald who is a happy clown enjoying McDonalds food. It should also be noticed that teens nowadays have been exposed from since they were children to some very unhealthy eating habits through adverts and even through their parents not setting a good eating example so when they become a teen they end up becoming obese. But it doesn't end there obesity can lead to various heart problems and heart diseases. Many teens also are facing abuse physical, emotional, sexual and mental abuse. As a result this leads to bladder problems (children wetting up their beds because of anxiety), teens harming themselves such as self mutilation, burning themselves, drinking various concotions to induce death, not eating properly. Many teens are also facing depression, anorexia and bulimia which affects their physical health immensely. It has been proven that depression can cause someone to feel physical ailments, it can calso be a contributing factor to some diseases. Both bulimia and anorexia affects a teens mind that they either throw up any food they consume or they don't eat at all which can leave the immune system weaker which means that they can easily become sicker than usual. Alot of teens nowadays are also getting cancer such as cancer of the cervix, breat cancer etc Some of it has been genitically passed down to them or they are more susceptible to getting it. It is also possible that microwaves and toxins in the environment, and also the food being consumed has made more teens susceptible to cancer. it is also very important to mention that as a result of a lot of teens consuming sugary food that they are getting diabetes earlier than as previously. Finally there are still a lot of teens living in poverty and don't have enough access to proper foods to consume and as a result they get sick quite easily.

Also one can't ignore the increase in abortion among teens girls. Especially becuase having an abortion damages them internally sometimes making it impossible for them to have children in the future. Also one can't forget about drug problems and drinking problems many of our teens are facing. In terms of drug problems it can lead to teens becoming more physically weaker and making them more susceptible to diseases. Also teens become so addicted to it that they no longer take care of their bodies like they should and all they want to do is to get more drugs. Some teens might eventually go into prostitution in order to get money so they can continue to support their drug habits. In terms of underage drinking this can lead teens to become alcoholics whereby any problem or issue that may arise they turn to alcohol to make them feel better. Heavy drinking overtime can cause damages to the liver and other organs in the body as well.
