  1. Help or hurt??  Its good for cardio vascular traing, strength, flexibility, speed, agility everything athletic.  It's hard on the knees, shoulder, neck, and back, but from more of a wear and tear angle..not a disease process.


  2. it helps one improve flexibility, speed, agility, strength - upper and lower body, jump, coordination, endurance.....an excellent sport for any kid , develops all kinds of athletic abilities.Over the years might be hurting the back, but mainly form improper technical moves.
