What healthy snacks can I buy for kids?

What are some easy to fix healthy snacks for kids. My 11 yr old daughter is overweight and I want to start buying healthier snacks instead of cookies and ice cream. Thanks!

  1. Carrot sticks with ranch to dip in, or broccoli

    diced peaches fruit cups, sliced apples and pnut butter

    granola bars

    rasins or yogurt covered rasins

    any fruits

    veggies with dips

    if you do get ice cream get sherbert

    cheese and crackers


  2. celery and peanut butter w/ raisins.

    thats my favorite.

    and those really tasty 100 calorie packs.

    and the good thing is there one serving

    so you can eat the entire bag!!!

    i also love those individual packages of smart pop popcorn

    they don't have much flavor but the kettle corn does!!!!

    oh yeah and one of my absolutle favorite quaker mini rice cakes

    there rice cakes, but the size of chips

    and come in flavors like chocoate and carmel corn!!!!!

    they're super yummmy.

    almost as good as Special K snack bars in chocolate drizzle!!!!!!!!!


  3. maybe peanuts with some healhty juice like apple juice. or cheez-its but not to much. for my daughter i somes times make her my own trail mix. or orginal lays chips are healthy 2.

  5. vegetable batons with a tasty low fat dip.

    non salted nuts.

    low fat pretzels.

    Hummus and pitta.

    fruit, fruit smoothies, very yum.

  6. i always buy my kids cut up fruit and veggies......... they have them in the produce section and you dont even have to do the work its already done for you

  8. good on ya for deciding to get her healthy again!

    baby carrots, grape tomatoes, cherries, grapes, strawberries, bananas, peaches etc.

    kashi granola bars, or basically anything by kashi, they're amazing.

    whole grain bread, low fat or fat free organic milk, scrambled eggs if she likes those, red meat, salmon, or chicken (not fried!), pretzels, progresso microwaveable soup (surprisingly healthy), etc etc.

  9. Try the QUAKER cake snack's there's only 70 calories per serving, there yummy, and good for your child,  

  10. Fruit, whole wheat crackers, baby carrots, fat free yogurt, apple sauce etc.

    Avoid white bread and bad carbs.

  11. i like fresh fruit or teddy grams.  vegges are also good...if you can get a child to eat them.
