What heat gun temp is used to remove black epoxy on Hitachi 79 Drive???

what is the correct temputure to use on a heat gun to remove the black epoxy on the Hitachi 79 DVD Drive for the Xbox 360 ?? Thanks

Use a high heat setting and scrape it off with a razor blade as soon as it gets soft enough. You don't want to heat up the entire drive just the epoxy so don't give the heat time to sink into the rest of the drive.
