  1. definatley taller 145 is good for like a person that is 5'2 i would say like a 165 or 167 would be good for you. it also depends on what you ride; for park you want a shorter board and for powder you want a longer one. a good all around one should go to your chin or 1 inch above that

  2. 145 cm is way too small for you.  Board size mainly goes by your weight.  I weigh 145, i am 5'5" and a good size for me would be a 152. www.Backcountry.com has a chat feature with trained gear experts who can help you with that better, and they can help you with each board too. You can chat online with them.

  3. If you're relatively new to snowboarding, you'll get the best control with a board that stands somewhere between your chin and your nose when placed on end on the floor.  This is also a good size if you're going to spend a lot of time in the pipe or the park.

If you expect to be snowboarding at very high speed or in deep powder, you may want to go for a longer board.  Longer boards are usually used by more experienced riders, and aren't for the pipe.

If you have large feet, you must pay attention to the width of the board as well!   Figure out your boot size first when choosing a board.  When centered on the board, your toe and heel should overhang at least 1.5 cm, but no more than 4 cm (.5 inch to no more than 1.5 inches).  Remember, a somewhat narrower board is easier to turn and is recommended when first starting out.

As a beginner, you also want a little flex in your board, again, for turning and maneuverability.

  4. You need to get a longer board.  The tip of the board should be at least to your chin if the tail is on the ground.  You also might need a wide board if you wear a size 11 shoe or larger.

  5. Well, the 145 is way to small unless you are using it to just mess around at a skatepark or something. A snowboard should generally be between your collar bone and your chin when the board is standing on the ground. You would want a little shorter board for park riding, (just below your collar bone). You could get a longer board if you like riding powder.
