What helps a sore throat?

My throat is hurting really bad and I was wondering what helps?

well sore throats are usually accompanied by a cold/flu so I suggest you mix honey with lemon juice my mom used it on me it works oh and also you should gargle warm salt water several times a day it really works =]

vicks ultra chloraseptic throat spray, its about a fiver from chemists but it numbs your throat. really good stuff.
