  1. Taking a ferry works for me.


  2. think of something else

    close your eyes and sleep if you can

    take a gravol it makes you sleepy

    get a magazine that you like and read it or book

    bring a portable dvd player watch your fav. dvd make sure it is charged.

  5. I'm not too excited about take-offs and find the best things to help is not to sit closest to a window nor near the wing.

    If all fails, shut your eyes and think of the lovely destination you are heading to!

  6. getting on a plane is no different from walking in to a room, or a train r something. When you board just close your window and imagine you're going on a coach journey. Ask the people around you if they could close there window during take off as you are a little nervous. Have a drink and a boiled sweet, do something to take your mind off it.

  8. Meditation and deep breathing help me, only plucked up the courage to get on a plane 3 years ago but so wish I had done it earlier, just keep walking up and down the aisle or listening to soothing music as both of those really help too.

  9. Reading the answers that every other person who asks this question here gets.  Seriously, it's at least 2 people a day asking this.  When you typed your question, didn't it show you a list of similar questions?
