What herbs make up, and in what proportions, in Herbes de Provence ?

recently got a recipe for ratatouille with Herbes de Provence in it, so anyone know what it contains? i would guess thyme, basil and maybe rosemary?

  1. Ingredients:

    1 tablespoon thyme

    1 tablespoon chervil

    1 tablespoon rosemary

    1 tablespoon summer savory

    1 teaspoon lavender

    1 teaspoon tarragon

    1 teaspoon marjoram

    1/2 teaspoon oregano

    1/2 teaspoon mint

    2 powdered or chopped bay leaves

    Orange zest, as well as lavender may be added in the Provence region, for a splash of citrus or from the aboundant lavender in the region.

    A more basic recipe:

    Dry herb Ingredients:

    1 tablespoon dried basil

    1 tablespoon marjoram

    1 tablespoon summer savory

    1 tablespoon thyme

    1 crushed bay leaf

    1 teaspoon lavender

    1 teaspoon fennel
