  1. i see a doctor (natural, not western) because i have had really irregular periods as well, and she recommended that i use a progesterone cream, which i rub on in the morning and at night. it's a quarter of a tsp and it's on areas when the skin in thin (ie. inner arms, neck, stomach). it helps regulate your period, your thyroid, keep your mood up, help water retention and it's not like a birth control pill

  2. What about aromatherapy - I've heard the essential oil of Clary Sage is a good period regulator. Get a little essential oil burner and put a drop or two in the water, light the tea candle and see what happens :)

  3. I've heard good things about red raspberry leaf tea

  4. try evening primrose.  That does wonders for my period.

  5. Theres something my aunty always tells me out called agnus castus (something like that)... but yeah i think it comes in pill form. Anyways she says its great and helps with moods and skin as well.

  6. yes ofcourse there is an alternative medicine for that..here in philippines we usually use bittermelon to have period back and some noni fruit..

  7. I would suggest you see an herbalist . Most likely they'll suggest this herb...among other things as they'll need to look at what's going on throughout the body...stress..lack of sleep etc.

    Vitex Agnus Castus  (Chaste Berry)

It's readily used by herbalists to regulate hormones  for periods (see below). It takes somewhere between 2-5 months for the cycle to get fully on track depending on the person.

When I was under stress, my period went from 27 to 21 days. Vitex set me straight in 3 months. I stayed on it until I had the stress under control and had about 5 months of consistent regular periods.

If you are on the pill, the pill will override whatever the herb could do for you so the herb won't work.

"Chaste tree berries are approved by the German Commission E (the German governmental agency that evaluates the safety and effectiveness of herbal products) for normalizing irregular menstrual periods and relieving PMS symptoms such as bloating, breast tenderness, and moodiness."

  8. It sort of depends on why your period isn't regular in the first place. In some cases the hormone cream mentioned by another answerer would probably work (though it is a drug) but in other cases it might make it worse (if you had too much progesterone to begin with). It's probably going to work out better for you if you go to an herbalist or naturopath and figure out what the imbalance is.

  9. the new on the market "Labisia Pumila" looks really promising.
