  1. It should be mounted so that the "cavitation plate" is even with or slightly higher than the bottom of the boat.


  2. Id go with Rotton Ralph, The Cavitation Plate should be Even with the Bottom of the Hull.

  3. 45"

  4. mark ts answer is good with one exception, if you don't have a "cupped" prop. you could "cavitate", drop down to one inch below the bottom of the boat.
