  1. palestine.

  2. There's a lot of choices:

    -jim crow laws

-civil rights movement (it's a broad topic, but you'll get a lot of info)

-you can use racism in a particular film (ex. birth of a nation was the first film showed in the white house... the plot is insane though and the KKK comes out as the heroes in the end)

-since your a student, the start of integration in the school system would be great

  3. My interests are alligned with Jim Crow Laws and the institutional support for these-as well as the long lasting effects that these laws had.

I also have interest in the CHinese Exclusion Act and the condemning and abuse of the Chinese immigrants both prior and after the passing of it.

  4. The most classic (in my opinion) is the Egyptian enslavement of the Hebrews. There's quite a bit of historical reference ( and not just the Bible) to draw from and it traverses the long lineage of enslavement because it not only covers a long period of times (400 plus years), but includes many varied instances to draw from. One drawback, you may have to request information from some foreign archives.

There is also the genocidal activities of the Third Reich and Hitler's death camps. Much easier to research and far more accessible information.
