or you could do a rbk 7k sickick 75 flex, i have one and it works good.

and there are always warrior sticks, ive never had one but ive heard good things about them.

  2. Well if you haven't played hockey for too long the most important thing is finding the right curve for yourself. The best way to do this is to buy a shaft and try out a few different cheap wood blades. If you're shooting too high go with a traditional Forsberg/Modano curve. If you're shooting too low go with something more extreme like a Drury/Sakic. Personally I favor two composite sticks for different reasons. The first is the One90 made by Bauer. It's durable and will last you a whole season, and if you ever learn how to take a slapper you will rip a goalies head off with one. Second would be the Easton s17 because of it's increased velocity and whip that you can put into your wrist/snap-shots. Although the downside to the s17 is it's durability; however, playing with girls (sorry!) you most likely won't run into too many hacks that could break a stick. Last thing I would mention is your weight is important. The rule of thumb here is that you should buy a stick with a flex rating that is half your weight...you want to go for an intermediate stick. They usually have flex ratings ranging from 50-77. Pick up a few different sticks and push halfway down the middle to find which one  bends just right for you (stores frown upon this but just do it while they're not looking!) If all else fails go to a store that specializes in only hockey equipment near your area and explain what your situation is.

  3. you cant go wrong with a good wood stick ... ive played hockey for over ten years and i use my trusty bauer one 40 durable light solid

  4. Vapor XXXX it's a great stick for slap shots and wrist shots. i play wing and it's a great stick

  5. Baur Vapor XXXX or a RBK SickKick maybe a 75 flex

  6. I have used about every single hockey stick imaginable...one piece...two piece...wood...EVERYTHING!! To tell you the truth if I were you I wouldnt waste that much on an S 17....doesnt make that much of a difference between sticks $100 cheaper...honestly... I would say try out either a warrior shogun, easton st or sl, bauer one90 (what im currently using) are nice, or a great deal on hockeyworld.com there are 2 Lousiville Response XN10's for only $250 (that is probably my favorite stick Ive ever used...with a nash curve....same as a sakic) ... Hope this helps!

  7. I have a ccm recchi, but I used a composite forsberg and with how high I shoot and how light it was it was a match made in heaven.  don't forget to get a junior size.

  8. I have an S17, im also about your weight and 13 years old and play national girls hockey. I love my S17, i basically only use wristshots and whenever you have to use a slapshot the S17 gives a great feel. I love the double flex in it and the sakic curve is great for unpredictable snap shots. Its a great, light sturdy stick. Hope this helps! Good luck!
