In all honesty I do not have a problem with any teams fans as a group.  All teams have good fans and bad ones.  I judge the individual and not the group, an a$$hole is an a$$hole regardless of who he cheers for

LA Kings fans.  

Having had the (mis)fortune to live in Southern California during the spring/summer of 1993, I had to endure the motherlode of bandwagon-dom.  Living in a backwater without cable, I was forced into bars to watch the Leafs-Kings series (usually as the lone Leafs fan amid a sea of Kings fans whose collective hockey knowledge was on a par with our "Why does hockey suck?" questioner).  The worst batch of Crosby-ites pale in comparison to this collection of stupidity worshipping Wayne Gretzky (with no knowledge, understanding, or appreciation).  

The McSorley illegal stick in the final- karma.  

Of course, this was back when the Kings went gangster with their uniforms, making things worse.  Owned by a now-convicted felon, coached by a jacka$$.

Leafs fans...because they don't know enough to stay away from the arena and to quit buying merchandise. They just keep handing over money to the owners as if they were happy with the team and it's performance.

i say worst are the Flyers fans

but being a life long Penguins fan i really hate the "new" Pens fans / bandwagon fans. i cannot stand when the Pens are on the Power Play the person in the d**k's Sporting Goods recchi jersey yelling "shoot it:" when they are just bringing the puck into their own zone.

at least when some of the Philly fans are being pricks, they know hockey

Some of the best conversations I've had at hockey games have been with Flyers fans, even one with a man who won the cup with them in 1975 (I might be wrong about the date).  Some of my favorite answerers on here are Flyers fans, and I in no way agree with the Mike Wise article (btw Caps fans hate Wise even more the Flyers fans do so please don't associate us with him), but I have to say as a whole the most obnoxious fans I've run into have with out a doubt been Flyers fans.

Right now... its the bandwagon part of the Pittsburgh fans! (NOT the die hards) WHY? Because they have watched hockey for less than 2 years but seem to think they know the most!

As far as just Fans as a whole.... hard telling.... each group has their own obnoxious side to them. For instance..... who Riots for winning a 1st round series in the playoffs? That would be MON.... Who constantly complains and cant say anything without a sentence including Sundin in it? Toronto fans.... Minnesota fans constantly claim to be hockeytown over DET! Ummm, what have you won? I could go on for almost any team including my Team the Wings... but its pointless. Every team fans have some sort of quirk that makes them obnoxious at times.

Any bandwagon fans, at first I thought Detroit fans were @ss holes but then I realized it was just the bandwagon fans, they brag constantly and I just don't understand what satisfaction you can get from being the fan of the Stanley Cup Champions every year, sometimes after they have already won it. But if I wasn't to choose bandwagon fans than I would have to say the Flyers fans, they are annoying and enjoy bragging quite a bit.

im not going to lie im definitely a flyers fan,and so some of us do get the reputation as the worse fans.however i have been to games in other places where fans are just as obnoxious as we are.for instance the pens fans,they tend to be really roudy and just they can be more out of hand.i mean heavens forrbid you wear a flyers jersey to the game,they end up ripping your head off.

I don't know about Philly, but the most obnoxious fans I've ever encountered were San Jose Sharks fans...they puff out their chests and sing the praises of how great their team is, yet they still haven't been able to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals against teams they say are SOOOOO inferior.

Tampa Bay Lightning fans that are not aware that Detroit won the Cup BEFORE acquiring Hossa, acquiring Conklin, resigning Filppula, and getting rid of Hasek (possibly Lilja too, and thus signing Mac, Cheli, and most importantly, Kyle Quincey).  This lack of awareness, combined with their inability to recognize their lack of offseason moves to improve goaltending or defense, gives them unrivaled and undeserved confidence.  Armed with these false pretenses, they proceed to inform the world that their unstoppable Tampa Bay Lightning, under the supposedly veteran coaching of Barry Melrose, will for some reason win the Stanley Cup this year.

No, they most certainly will not be going to the Cup Finals, let alone winning.
