I was thinking about Vonage... I get a bunch of stuff in those mailers from them.. it is cheaper than my regular phone service that's for sure... but is Vonage good? Is there another one maybe just as good or better for less? I hate paying for a cell phone and home phone... so the best for the least money sounds good to me.

  1. Maybe u should try out the Cordia VOIP plans at https://www.cordiaip.com/

They are running a promotion right now where u can enjoy the first month free for all Cordia VOIP plans. The promotion code is AGLEEX182X.

    Good luck.

  2. Try Onesuite, they offer good value for money voip service. Pay as you go as well so no worries about being tied up for monthly or yearly plan.

  3. We are personally very happy with our Vonage service.  We did research all of the available options, but Vonage was the only service that offered a phone number for our area.

If you do decide to go with Vonage, message me and I will send you a referral link.  If you use the link when you sign up for service, you will get 1 month free and a $50 Visa card (and I get the same for referring someone).  That's not the reason why I'm recommending Vonage -- I do really love the service.  We hated the service offered by our local phone provider which is why we switched to Vonage in the first place.  Getting a kickback for recommending a product that I love is just a bonus.

  4. Vonage reliable? WTF?? Vonage is c**p service and it is nearly impossible to cancel an account with them.

I would be careful listening to people on here about it because they just want to refer people.

  5. We are using VOIP digital service through ACN. We pay $23.99 a month for unlimited local, long distance throughout US, Canada and Puerto Rico. They are a privately held company with their own digital platform. World Headquarters located in Concord, NC.

  6. please, before you make your decision do a little homework....check out dslreports.com and see who/what is the best....!

I use Packet8 for 3 years and love it!

this website is the most updated and objective site when it comes to VoIP    http://www.dslreports.com/

Vonage is really not that cheap....if you want cheap get the MagicJack...I use for 1 year

  7. Hi LB,

For starters, Vonage is "reliable" but it's one of the most expensive VoIP services. I went through http://voip-reviewer.com 's top rated voip provider, and it's a lot cheaper than Vonage, rated better, and I pay about $11 a month, and you can get 6 months free if you go with annual pre-pay. My favorite part is NO CONTRACTS! If I ever want to cancel the service, I don't have to worry about getting slapped with a termination fee!

    Hope that helps!
