Have a new 46 inch Samsung..love it but the volume is low on HD. Would like a good system. My biggest issue is my family room make it difficult to have speaks in the back of the room, was thinking of a system like Bose 321 (reviews are scaring me) or a Sony with 3 speakers. What do you think?

  1. No no no.  Stay away from Bose 321 or anything home theater in a box for that matter.  You're much better off buying seperate components (i.e. spkrs, DVD, receiver, etc).  I've worked on Bose systems before and they are not good.  If you ever want to upgrade anything (i.e. BluRay) on your system, it will be very difficult to do, because Bose runs their speakers through the subwoofer.  Also, sound quality will be much better when individual components are bought.  The jack of all trades is rarely good at any!

    Recommendations:

    Jamo A series speakers

    Onkyo 605 receiver

    Onkyo single disc DVD

  2. Home theater in a box is ok if you don't care much for amazing sound/video quality.  Get seperate devices and speakers from a company that focuses only on speakers and not on light bulbs or toasters....such as B&W or Paradigm.
