  1. Fourstardave, Mourjane (IRE) and A Phenomenon are buried in the Clare Court area of Saratoga (http://www.jessicachapel.com/railbird/ar... scroll down to the last picture).  Go For Wand, who so horrifically broke down in the Breeder's Cup in 1990, is buried in the infield of the racetrack.

It's possible, of course, and even likely, given that Saratoga racetrack has been home to race meets since 1863, that there are other horses buried on the property, but their burials are not marked or noted.

Fourstardave was a beloved gelding who won at least one race at Saratoga every year for eight consecutive years.  Fourstardave was absolute hickory, starting 100 times and winning 21, for earnings in excess of $1,200,000.  http://www.horse-races.net/library/artic...

Fourstardave has been honored by having a stakes race named for him at Saratoga.

Mourjane was an Irish-bred turf runner, and A Phenomenon was a brilliant sprinter.  But I don't think any horse was or is more beloved to Saratoga race fans than Fourstardave.
