What hostel/hotel do you recommend in cinque terre to hike through all villages?

is there a central location, or should we stay in different hotels over 2 days?

I've stayed at the youth hostel in Manarola twice and I highly recommend it. There is a lockout and a curfew, but it's clean, the staff are friendly, and the meals (breakfast and dinner are available for purchase) are delicious.

The area is small enough and well-connected that it's not worth it to stay in two different places. Give yourself a day off from lugging your bags around.

The Cinque Terre are very, very close one from the other. The train ride between each one is just a few minutes.You can stay in just one hotel,pensione, etc and visit all of them in just a couple of days, not worth it be moving around.Don't rent a car if you are going only to Cinque Terre, some of the roads are very rough Train is cheap and fast.Best place in the world!!!!.
