Well If your choice is Punta Cana/Bavaro, I would suggest to look at the Melia or Riu or Iberostar Hotels/Resorts, they have a generally a very good reputation by the guests.

for the  $$  look in to the iberostar  hotels you cant go wrong they are awsome
