We are going to Montreal for a concert at Parc Jean-Drapeau, but also to do some site seeing and bar hopping too. What hotel would you suggest that is in the heart of everything and is close to the transportation station?

  1. Hotel Maritime Plaza is a secret find.

1155 Rue Guy near Ste Catherine, right next door to the Bar-B Barn (world's best ribs)

    800-454-6835

  2. Howard Johnson, Holiday inn, Comfort suites, best western

  3. Ritz-Carlton, a really nice hotel and right downtown Montreal too, close to everything you want to see!

    Enjoy your stay!

  4. If you like personalized and friendly service go to Hotel Jazz on St Hubert near St Catherine.  Melanie and Jean-Sebastien are wonderful hosts, and I cannot praise them enough.  It is a small hotel (8 rooms there), full of charm, serving healthy breakfast, near metro station (one block), and within walking distance from great restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, and the bus station that can take you to and from the airport.

  5. Basically anywhere in the heart of Downtown. You can try hotels along St. Catherines, Peel, Sherebrooke, or Crescent. Those would be the perfect area for everything you mentioned above. St. Catherines and Cresecent have some awesome bars, and that area is very close to the metro, which will connect you will all the site seeing you can hope for.

There is a Quality Inn on Crescent:

    1214 Crescent Street

    Montreal, Qc, H3G 2A9

    514.878.2711

Too many to choose from on Sherebrooke, St. Catherines, and Peel.

The Quality Inn has decent rates, is a pretty decent hotel, and is right in the heart of everything.

    Good luck!
