What hotels are better ibrostar or riu?

looking to go on holiday in december to domincian republic what hotel would you recomend

I think both are good, but from my experience Iberostar has a better service.

Hi,

This a special question, because it as to do with personal taste. I would say that IBEROSTAR hotel in Costa Dorada is a bit better than the 3 RIU'S in Cofresi (both near Puerto Plata) but again it is a matter of taste! The advantage of Iberostar is that it is located on one of the new beaches of Puerto Plata and at 10 min bus ride from the center of the town. Riu's (3) they are splitted in 3 different categories so you have to look well witch one is the best for you. Anyway all this mentioned hotels are perfect for the best vacations.

Don't forget to go out of the resorts to discover this beautiful country with excursions (buy them outside if possible= cheaper) for more info just ask, happy to help!
