What hours can you drive with a california learners permit?

i got my drivers permit a couple weeks ago and my mom keeps telling me i cant drive after 5 does anyone know between the hours of what and what can i drive?

  1. Call DPS or the police dept. they can tell you.


  2. Not true.  In fact, teenagers need practice driving during daylight, evening and night hours.  Maybe your mom is getting confused with the actual provisional drivers license you will have for the first 12 months, which does not allow you to drive past 11 p.m.

  3. There is no set for hours  restriction with a permit, the only restriction is that you have to drive with a person that is 21 or older and has had a one year of experience driving, and it is very recommended to drive at different times during the day.
