I applied for a preschool teacher position

This would be for a toddler head teacher

I'm guessing thatI would need to be there very early for drop off's

I have a 6 year old and am trying to figure out if I'll need both before and after school care for him.

Greatly appreciate any help!

  1. Definately depends on the school.  Usually there is a Lead Teacher in the morning... I find that most lead teachers are there at opening and until about nap time.  Just ask...I'm surprised it wasn't on the job description.

  2. It depends on the school. I teach at a private school and I work 8:15-3:15. Some schools(like mine) have a certain teacher that gets paid more to do before and after care.

  3. My sons pre-school opens at 6:oo am and closes at 6:00 pm. You wouldn't surely have to be there all the time.

  4. I am also a teacher. (School Hours are 7:00 to 5:30) At my preschool we work at different times throughout the week. Some days I open, which means I get there at seven and then I leave earlier, around 2:00. And if I get there around 9:00 I stay until closing, or at least until all my kids have left. So it varies. Talk to Your director. Sometimes they can arrange for you to pickup or drop off your child.

Good luck being a teacher(: I absolutely love it(:
