  1. Go to the store and get some car wash soap.  The main thing about most household items is that they are too strong to wash a car with.  Most dish soaps will remove any protective coating of wax you may have and cause issues in the future.  Car wash soap can be as cheap as $5.00 with enough for a few washes.

  2. Don't try to get it into the house hold washing machine, it make's a **** of mess of them.!

  3. Most household detergents contains degreasers and other products that can actually remove wax and oils out of your paintjob. And that is not a good thing at all.

If you must wash the car use the mildest hair shampoo that you can find in the house.
