I remember hearing that some ppl use Kool-aid to color their hair all sorts of wild colors i.e. pink, red, blue, purple.

Household products are not made for hair, and could damage your hair badly.  Lemon juice will lighten your hair - that's a natural product, not a household one - but be careful using anything that's not meant for hair.
