in some cities bus companies called metro do NOT ISSUE TRANFSFER in he first place -other will issue transfers to

other carriers (called Metro to Muni transfers)

I'm going have to ASSUME YOU MEAN LOS ANGLES

SINCE YOU FAILED TO STATE WHAT CITY

AND YOU DONT ALLOW EMAIL TO ASK THIS QUESITON

to do so I'm going to have to assume you mean Los Angels

and its YOUR FAULT IF I GOT the  CITY WRONG BECAUSE OF YOU SICNE YOU DONT TELL UIS WHAT CITY YIOU ARE IN! and we CANT EMAIL YOU BECAISE

if you are traveling on a metro bus (likes say Metro line 720

and you want to to Santa Monica college

of Course Metro doesnt service SMC which means you would have to transfer to a Santa Monica big blue bus

so when you board the Metro bus you pay the driver

$1.25 +.30 for a transfer (tell the driver you want/need to transfer to a Santa Monica bus) the then the operator

will give you a little piece of paper saying

Metro to muni transfer

when you get to your transfer point you give that transfer

to the Santa Monica big blue bus driver

and that's how you use a transfer
