I recently got a miniature horse. She is 5-7 years old. I have heard that horses like human foods such as fruit and veggies. I have also heard they like sweets. Is is ok if I feed my mini these types of food? If so..how often and how much? Thanks a bunch!!

  1. u probably do not want to feed him a lot of sweets maybe 1 to 2 pieces of sweets every two weeks because if you feed it to many sweets then it will get fat and unhealthy and it is good to feed it raw fruits and vegetables but you do not want that to be the only thing it will eat you want to give it horse food to and you can find horse feed at almost every feed store

  2. Apples, lettuce carrots are all good treats ;)

you can get much information in this website, stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time, you can aslo get your answer in Google Search in this website, which has helped me alot

  4. they like apples and carrots, but not too much, they have natural sugars, so only one or two of these a week, along with regular feed.  you can also give peppermint sticks (candy canes)  all within moderation

  5. carrots!!

apples (not too many they cause stomach aches)

i also buy plain quaker oats, mix them with honey and molasses and make into balls and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until crispy, horses love them.

Also, peppermints and spearmint jelly leaves (candy) are also yummy and Nature Valley oats & honey bars are great too! good luck!
