i want to make my high school basketball team...every years a god good chance but i alway be the last to be scrach..this year a have better chances but the probleme is that i am playing point guard and guys from last years team will be there.we are 3 at this position.one of them is quicker and got more skills than me he will probably be the starter but the other is not better than me if he is than just a little bit.i want to be the 2nd guard but the other dude was the captain of one of my school team so i am thinking that they wont cut him if he was the captaine.i practice like 4 to 6 hours every day of the week .,

so what i should do ?? i driblle alot but my left hand is not so good ,i can drive to the net ,and people tell me that im a good passer .if i dont make the team it will be my last chance..please give me more drills!!

  1. improve your deffence bend down and shuffle side to side 50 times it will help you stay infront of the guy

  2. Ok, here you go:

Take lots of shots, fadeways, turn-around jumpers, 3 pointers, leaners, up and under, alley oops....lol

Alright, here's what you should do: Get other guys involved. As a PG you need to get people shots. To improve your left hand dribble you just need to dribble the ball more with your left hand.

  3. As a PG prove to your coach you can be a leader. then just go to try-outs hungry. Be the most competitive on the court try to win every drill and game and be determined to make the team.

  4. Before the tryouts invite the coach over for a BBQ. I bet that would work

  5. Ok drop the c**p. Forget the "Oh well this guy is quicker than me.. and this guy was captain". Drop all that. Make it a point to be the best player on the team by working hard by yourself. I'm serious.

Hard work will you get you anywhere you want to go.

  6. First no need for you to know how good others are.you need to know how good you are and what you need to work on.since you're a point-guard you mostly need to work on your ball-handling skills, passing ,and mid-range shots.on the other side you need to be able to play good hard /aggressive defense.if you do just that, no need to worry about other players being better.good luck...
