what does the AH stand for? And what is 2280 AD, what does the AD stand for?

  1. i've never heard ah before..i don't think thats anything, but ad means after decent. As in after the decent of  Christ and bc means before christ.


  2. AH means "After Hijrah" which refers to Muhammad's flight from Mecca in the year 622 AD (or CE). This event marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar.

  3. In the Quran, 1710 AH is the Day of Judgement (end of the world) The pronouncement came in 1400 AH (1980 AD) that the end would come in 309 lunar years, which is 300 solar years.



    1980 AD +300 is  2280 AD

    AD is Latin, anno domini, which translates to "in the year of the Lord."

  4. AH is from an Islamic calendar.  1710 and 2280 are the same year from Islamic to Gregorian.  It's supposed to be the end of days as per the Quran.
