  1. 19

  2. You have to be 19...just make sure that you carry around I.D. if you go into a bar/club... =D

  3. As stated all over the place the legal drinking age is 19 but yea like everywhere else you need good photo ID.

The problem about walking right in is where the challenge is especially if you go downtown you can expect to line up at most bars or clubs anyways. If you want something quieter like a hotel  lounge there would be no problem with the walk right in part or head down to Yaletown there are some neat pubs and drinking spots and if you go earlier in the evening you will have no problem finding a great spot. I guess it just depends what you are into. Another unique area would  be is Granville Island lots of bars right on the water.

  4. Drinking age in BC is 18.  As long as you have picture ID, no problem.

  5. You can walk in, but you will likely be asked to show ID if you look under 25. The legal drinking age is 19.

  6. You can just walk in because the drinking age in BC is 19.  But yes, they are strict.  Make sure you have 2 pieces of identification and one being a drivers license, passport or similar government issue.  That is the law, over 19 and carrying id to prove it.

This site for government liquor stores states the requirements that is the same for any bar.

I've been in Vancouver on Memorial Day weekend, the bars are full of Americans....

  7. Legal drinking age is 19 in BC
