  1. I would not expect a reaction, but I don't know much about organic chemistry.  Methyl parathion will degrade in contact with water to form nitrophenol and dimethyl thiophosphate.  It is possible that the dimethyl thiophosphate will precipitate with copper(II) salts.

    I suspect the reason for such a mixture would be to prepare a combination fungicide/insecticide, as methyl parathion is an insecticide and copper salts exhibit antifungal properties.  Copper sulfate is occasionally used in agriculture to provide copper to plants.

    Parathion is a very toxic pesticide, so it should be replaced with safer alternatives.
