So lets say Supposedly China is having the Olympic games, then twenty five thousand out of the one hundred thousand soldiers rush onto the field and detain all foreigners who disagree with China's political stance, take them out of the stadium, put them in trucks and drive away.

How do you think the governments of the world would react to the detainment of their citizens and athletes?

  1. Many countries would first gather and talk and talk about it until someone gives in.  Probably pay or "support" China financially with an one time payment.  It's a very touchy subject so I don't think any country would try to use force to resolve the problem.  On the other hand, we have countries who are quick to pull the trigger so who knows maybe WWIII?

  2. massive anti-china backlash all across the world, trade embargoes, and the like. Of course this would be the end of China as a power of any sort. This would also possibly be considered an act of war, in which case it could be the end of China's days as an independant nation.

  3. It wont happen coz china is considering Olympics as the symbol of their national progress, International influence and the comming of age. Chinese gov already declared the freedom for media in olympic related areas. They are considering this as a major event in chinese history and u think they gonna s***w this up?.Nope.

Lets say, if that ever happen that would be a disaster for their own countries image and foriegn relationship. All countries fu(k china upside down thats for sure and NO MORE olympics for china. Will be the biggest shame in olympic history.

  4. As said above, this is a rather moot argument, because China would never act against their own self interests in such a manner. But I'd expect some UN condemnations, trade embargoes, and possible some special forces teams attempting to rescue the prisoners.

  5. (This answer is intended for conspiracy theorists only.)

The best response would be for the other countries to send all Chinese nationals back to China. This would ensure that all the spies were deported thereby eliminating the economic and industrial espionage that China is responsible for around the world. Then follow that up with a worldwide trade embargo to show them we really mean business. And then liberate Tibet.

  6. I don't think there's even the remotest of possibilities that China would do that.
