  1. If earth had a planetary ring, gravity would be constantly pulling meteors and asteroid sized objects down to Earth causing great impacts on the surface. It would be doubtful any intelligent life would evolve. It probably would be one mass extinction after another until all of the planetary ring finally dissipates like the one the Earth had billions of years ago.

  4. If the rocks surrounding us were big enough they would probably destroy us eventually. Theoretically the Earth may have had a ring millions of years ago. As the many satellites began to collide they eventually became large enough to have a much larger gravitational field and gathered the rest of the rocks creating our moon.

  5. It probably has at various times in it's long history.  The moon's gravity interactions with the Earth would tend to destroy rings fairly quickly.

  6. the night sky would be STUNNING!!!
