What if...? (Ghosts)?

What if ghosts really aren't "spirits lingering after death", but it offers some weird time link between the past and present? Like when a person is going through a very tramatic or emotional moment it makes some kind of "stamp" on time and we can see it in the present periodically as it happens? Sort of like time is happening in the past, present, and future. Time travel could be looked at in such a different way! Maybe it's less linear than we have always thought...

Well, there have been many theories for why there are ghosts. Some people claim they are here because the can't be accepted above or below. Some people say that they "linger" after death. And some people think that they can time travel!

This is a controversial topic since it conflicts with religion.

But yes, if this was true(not saying it isn't) time travel could be looked at in a whole different way!!

a haunting and a ghost can be very different things.

some hauntings are residual energy, and the person who left that energy could still be living somewhere else on the earth at the time you experience it.

poltergeists are when someone with excessive energy due to something like, puberty or a traumatic event, will unknowingly direct their energy in a way that effects inanimate objects.

some hauntings, i believe, actually are spirits...i would only consider them hauntings if the spirit is a "stranger" to you, like not of your family *a grandparent or loved one*

sometimes it is said that going to a haunted place a spirit can actually "piggy-back" back to your house and end up haunting you. very mischievous. lol

these are all pretty common beliefs among paranormal investigators. there are other types of very uncommon hauntings and i believe they are just pretty controversial as well.

time travel is theoretically possible according to MANY physicists, that i have read. although we do not have the technology to make it possible for the average person i do believe that when one has a very high level of control over their spirits, to the point of soul travel, that time travel is possible and even common. and of course then you get to that, sometimes a "haunting" could very well be a person that is astral projecting themselves somewhere and you are experiencing their "doppleganger"

I believe along with a lot of paranormal researchers that all ghosts are not created equal. Acertain subset of ghost phenomena are either some type of time warp, or the entity/event are somehow "recorded" and can played back thru the mind of the perceiver.These are the so called Residual hauntings.They rarely if ever interact with the living.

Other phenomena are most definitely spirits of the dead. These are usually recognized , or later identified by the perceiver, and communicate in some way information as to their identity. Then there is the subset which overjoys the skeptics who pretend that all fall into this category.That is halucinations , misidentifications of prosaic phenomena, or hoaxes.

Definitely an interesting theory. But you base it on the fact that we haven't made contact with ghosts or apparitions, when I've seen things that are closer to the truth then ever.

Still you'll have the basics of what has already been thought up and most of what they say/have in movies. Its not a good thing if thats true..but that is a different outlook on it all. Thats cool.
