Gore won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote. Do you think the world would be better off than it is now under Bush? Anything specific he would've done better/worse?

  1. Why isn't people do not understand politics?  The President has very little power.  It's CONGRESS who passes the bills and holds the purse strings.  The President can veto a bill, but Congress can override the veto with a two-thirds vote.  That's why people who blame Dubya for our economic woes are idiots, and people who think Obama can make any substantive change are also idiots.  No President gets anything done without Congress.

Let me give you some specifics:

    1.  Dubya is being blamed for the Iraq War, a war CONGRESS voted in favor of and has approved spending money on.  Not one dime would be spent on the war if Congress didn't approve it.  So it is really Dubya's fault that we've spent so much on the war and our national debt has gone up?  NO.  The sad thing is there are people in Congress representing one political party who rant and rave about how much this war is costing and how it's not working, yet THEY approved the war and approved the budget to spend on the war.

    2.  Dubya is also being blamed for the mortgage crisis and the lending industry bailout.  Is it the President's fault that the lending companies made a bunch of risky loans they never should have made in the first place?  NO.  It's the fault of Congress for not passing more stringent banking and credit laws.

    3.  Here's the biggie:  Dubya is being blamed for high gas prices.  Is it his fault that OPEC has slowed production?  Is it his fault that the oil speculators drove the price of oil through the roof?  NO and NO.  It's the fault of Congress for not passing legislation that would make us less dependent on foreign oil.  And again, the same people in Congress, representing the same party, are whining about the high cost of oil despite the fact they have done everything in their power to shoot down legislation that would allow development of our own oil reserves for more than two decades.

BOTTOM LINE:  It doesn't matter if Obama or McCain gets into office in November -- until we start cleaning out the bums on Capitol Hill who care more about lining their own pockets with our money than they do about us, nothing is going to get better.  And it wouldn't have mattered if Al Gore became President in 2000 -- it would still be the same c**p, different day.

  2. Gore is the biggest douche in the universe. He won the Nobel prize for his fake research over a holocaust hero who saved like 2000 Jewish kids from death. Do I think he would be a good president? I don't think so.

  3. Our taxes would probably be double what they are now and we'd be on gas rationing.

  4. manbearpig would be distroyed... i'm super serial!!

  5. If Gore had become president ,we wouldn't have our soldiers dying in Iraq for no good reason .

Other than that it would be a lackluster presidency.

Which I could stand after 8 years of Bush (THE DESTROYER)

  6. If Gore were president then Global Warming wouldn't be such a big deal. It's a tool  of the democrats to gain power right now, and it's a farce. The Nobel prize is a political thing, and not worth a darn for objective consideration of real accomplishments. He also won a gramy or whatever it was for his garbage propaganda movie, which was also a liberal political handout.

Their are charts dating back 700 years of the bearing sea area, and ice has been receding since then. Tell me how we were making the globe warmer 700 years ago?

Global Warming is a reality. Global climate change has been going on since there was an earth with a climate. Since the dawn of man there have been manipulators who were willing to use any natural phenomena to gain power over others by fooling them into thinking they could control them by doing what the manipulator wanted. Gore is just another of these, and scientists have always gone with the political power or risked being cast out of it's community of acceptance and riches, or even killed.

Galileo adjusted his observations that the Universe didn't revolve around the earth and agreed with the establishment that the Earth was the center of the Universe, under threat of death. Some things never change. Gore is doing the same thing to scientists who dare to descent right now, threatening their livelihoods and places in society if they dare speak out.

  7. Ok, Gore is only the answer to a very stupid question. He won the prize because he was preaching to the choir, it had nothing to do with he said. Most of what he said was debunked, and let's not forget that he got off his private jet to accept his prize.

Look up the tale of two homes. One has lush, manicured lawns, 10,000 sq. ft. home, pool, multiple AC's, and uses more energy then most small towns. The other uses solar power, water reclamation, xenoscape, and alternative climate control. Which house belongs to Bush, and which belongs to Gore?
