  1. It's not either really...but if you're not happy with how you  feel...you can do something about it.

Realize there's an 'opposite' to every situation...so if you are thinking something bad...start asking yourself...'what is the opposite of this?'

Then try and expand on it...for example.  Something not so great could be:  "I don't have alot of friends and it feels lonely/depressing sometimes"

Soooo the opposite of that could be:

I know I don't have lots of close friends...but most people like me when they meet me, so that's cool.  I'm glad I have family as they can be there for me when I need someone to talk to.  I like doing things on my own sometimes as i don't have to worry about someone elses likes or dislikes.  I enjoy pets and animals...maybe I could volunteer at an animal shelter and enjoy my time helping animals and I'm sure I'd meet others who like animals too.  I bet I could talk to someone at work/school and ask them about themselves and they'd be happy to have someone take the time to listen to them.  I'm glad I have time to myself to read, work out, cook, clean, watch a movie, etc etc....

Not sure if you are getting what I am saying...but bottom line is to look at the other side of the subject and turn the part that feels better into a little story in your head or written/typed out.

Most folks tend to worry about the 'what if's..." thinking bad things may happen...instead I suggest doing fun 'what if's' thinking about fun or even outrageous things happening, that feel better.

    Good luck!

  2. just tell yourself it's normal and ignore it. don't panic. just make believe you were never thinking about it and move on. keep busy. and just don't let things bother you. when i have something bad on my mind...thats what i do...and it's been working. good luck....it takes some time...but its worth it.

  3. Try a hobby or play an online game??  It depends on what you mean by "bad" whether it is healthy or unhealthy.

  4. i would try and think of good things then or do something like a hobbie u like 2 do.

  5. I can identify with the downward spiral of bad thoughts. I usually distract myself with some type of activity. Sometimes, simply browsing through my music and singing along (be them sad or happy songs) pulls me through the rough spot. Other times, I take my dog for a walk, play a game, or just call a friend. It's surprising how quickly you can distract yourself once you find something engaging!

  6. Your heart got run over???????????
