I found this great deal on ebay for an Optima Yellow top battery. I need a Deep cycle battery because of my subs. I already bought the battery and its a size d34/78.

My car says i need a size 51 or d35.

There are 300 more CCA than needed in the one i bought (d43/78) and the dimesions of the battery looks like it will fit. Is there going to be any other problems?

  1. as long as the battery will fit in the holder adding more cranking amps wont hurt it ,but the post have to be in the same position or it may not fit it right i got a 1000 amp battery in my truck and it only calls for a 650 cranking amp battery in it,and it hasn't hurt it none in three years,as long as it fits and the post are right you wont hurt nothing on it,good luck

  2. 300 more cranking amps no big deal it should actually help the efficiency your subs and car electrical system.  especially when there is a lot of power drain.

  3. Sounds ok. If extra power you can rn extra sot lights etc, if reduced power well................

  4. nope. As long as it fits and the cables mount up your fine.  U might want to put a capacitor for the subs though it will keep your lights from dimming when the subs hit.

  5. yeah you should be ok.and more cranking means more reserve power for the amps.
