I have a one year lease, with an addendum to allow me to quit after six months, which I have done and now regret. What are my rights?

  1. You have the right to leave when you said, unless the landlord allows you to rescind it.

  2. Has your landlord rented your apartment yet?  If not, and you have been a good tenant current on your rent, I am sure he would re-instate the lease.

  3. If you've been a good tenant and the unit is not rented to anyone else at this point you should be able to stay there with the permission/agreement with the landlord.  Hope it works out for you!
