What if Mesut Ozil was a tennis star? - Tennis Special
Real Madrid’s football ace, Mesut Ozil, is a world class playmaker. He has a terrific ability to sense the situation and predict the potential move of the opponent with utmost accuracy. He is extremely clever and superbly talented
especially his footwork is absolutely magnificent.
Now, let’s analyze few characteristics of the German football team player with those of a tennis stars. He is absolutely terrific with his footwork and the same is the case with the Spanish superhuman, Rafael Nadal. The number
10 Madrid player might not be physically tough as the Spanish number one but he is able to grind his body at the pitch and run with his ‘dancing boots’ on from the one end of the football field to the other.
Moreover, he is a natural left footed player and Nadal is a natural left-handed professional. So, there is so much in common amongst both the players. They have a similar stamina and plays with the same side of their body.
Moving on, Rafa lacks some characteristics that Ozil possesses. Nadal might be strong with his left hand but he doesn’t possess the same class as Roger Federer. He capitalizes on his power and superhuman abilities to run across
the courts and keep the point alive while the Swiss Maestro is a classy act. Federer might not be strong enough to cover the distance as fast as the Spaniard but he has an ultimate classy single-handed backhand that is pinpoint accurate when it gets going.
So, now Ozil seems like a player that owns the stamina of Nadal but has a class of Federer; technically speaking he is a perfect combo of the two former world number ones that have ruled the world of tennis for almost a decade.
A lot of people might think that the quality of the Serb former world number one, Novak Djokovic, should be discussed here but honestly the reigning Australian Open Champion has still a lot to prove and is young to be listed amongst
the category of true tennis legends.
Coming back to the German International Professional, Ozil, we can easily state that if he was in the field of tennis, he might have been better than the two players, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, because he owns the qualities
of both the players and the combo makes him one of the world class acts.
Nadal has reigned supreme over anyone at the clay courts and Ozil has rocked the world of football with his ability to create a goal scoring opportunity every 30 minutes he is at the pitch. Such a high ratio goal scoring chances
is not created by anyone in the competitive world of football.
So, for me the German International footballer is slick and stylish like Federer but fast and energetic as Nadal. So, if he was to play at the tennis courts, he might have been a better player than both the heroes of tennis.
