Where else can one find cheap air tickets?

Please don't answer with similar sites like cheapoair, hotwire, expedia, they're worse.

I've been checking the major airlines too.

If you've checked that many sources and can't find an acceptable price, then your expectations may not be realistic. You've already hit all of the major websites, so you're not likely to find anything cheaper.

Airlines have been raising prices aggressively in recent months because of the spike in fuel prices. Very cheap fares are much harder to find than they were a year ago.

I think the problem is that you can no longer use the words "cheap" and "tickets" in the same sentence.  There just are not any  cheap tickets anymore.  If you are flying on a very major route, to a popular destination like Las Vegas, or Orlando, there are sometimes specials, but for other places, mighty slim chance.
