Will they play the "national anthem" of Taiwan, or, the Olympic song ?

I really curious about this. I know they are not allowed to represent as a seperated country (from China), but now, they are allowed to compete in the game. So, IF they really get a Gold, which song will be played on the stage ?

  1. They play the national flag song.

  2. If Taiwanese athletes win medals, they use a  variation of the Olympic flag and Taiwan's National Flag Song, an alternative to the state's national anthem.

  3. I think they may just play the Olympic song as Taiwan is not allowed to broadcast its national song at the Olympic firmly by China.

  4. they will play their "national" song.

but taiwan will not be seperated from china, even with the support from u.s.a.

it has  been part of china from 2000 years ago,1800 years before u.s.a. was founded.just the same as tibet.

in beijing olympic, taiwan is allowed to compete because of its identification of a political region, just like hongkong of china.

  5. Actually, Taiwan has won 2 gold medals, both from the Athens Olympics in 2004.  In 1981 Taiwan agreed to an IOC proposal (I don't know why...) to compete under a new name (Chinese Taipei) with a new flag and national anthem. 6. Ya, i doubt they will play the national anthem of Taiwan as China doesn't reconize Taiwan as a country. But I remember last olympics they did play the national anthem when they won gold

    good question!

  7. More like, do they ever get a gold medal?
