  1. No, not a chance. Being tall doesn't mean you'll become an Olympic champion swimmer. It's going to be a loooong time before someone can come close to what Michael Phelps accomplished.

  2. Knowing how to swim is different from being an Olympic level swimmer. I can swim, but would never want to go up against Natalie Coughlin, Amanda Beard, Laure Manaudou or Stephanie Rice, let alone any of the male Olympic swimmers.

  3. hey

Michael Phelps did such an awesome job.  He makes me proud to be an American.  My dad and I went to the Olympics back in 2000.  It's an unforgettable experience.  You can get a lot of info and pictures from this site.      http://cmt.cc/9uAy1

  4. improbable. training a sport to the olympic level takes a lifetime of dedication and persistence, not to mention lots of time. it's unlikely that a random person with unknown swimming background would be able to beat the world record (level at which Phelps swims and breaks)

  5. If it came down to being the first to touch the wall in a close race, yeah, he could out reach Phelps.
