If an Olympic medalist lost his medal, can he get a replacement? I suppose he would have to pay? If he got it many years ago it wouldn't be available any more?

if olympic athletes loses their medals they deserve to not have one, cuz obviously they don't care about it enough to take care of it. winning an olympic medal is a dream for most people and deserves to be respected not just sitting around collecting dust.
