In a recent TV add, a man watching his son bend a straw to get more milk shake off the sides of the glass gets an idea.

Are oil companies allready doing this, bending the drilling lines to get to more crud oil underneath neibouring countries, is'nt that ilegal, could this cause a war.

Allthou he got this idea, this does'nt solve the problem of Global Warming, it just increases it.

What sollution is this oil company thinking of, Steal you neibours oil reserves.

Is this whats happening in Iraq?

Hhhhmmmm, sounds like another conspiracy theorie.

  1. if they were to be doing this, then they are going to be in a big bundle of trouble when that country finds out. and yes most likely there will be a big dispute over that issue

  2. I seen on some Chanel in the amazon forest people are drilling for oil on the Indians land and all the sulfur and dynamite is going in the rivers there ...whole family's are dieing of all kinds of cancers 'and their government could care less..these poor people that live off the land can;t even bath in the river as there getting big sores on there bodies. and their foods are getting destroyed also,,,the Indians said it;s fine to drill but please don;t run the poisons in the rivers 'and they still are,,,,,now if that;s not illegal; i don;t know what is.....

  3. Wow!  (You seem to be asking about several things at the same time.)

I don't know if companies are doing this currently or not, but it has already been presented as an option for opening up the Artic region in Alaska, so it's not out of the question.  I'd be very surpised if the ad you'[ve seen was presenting the idea of taking oil from other countries, however.  It would be frowned upon by most of the world, but that hasn't stopped corporations nearly enough of the time, in my opinion!  Yes, if it was done, it very well COULD cause a war - land, and the other resources underneath property are generally considered the property of the legal owners of the surface (there are all kinds of exceptions, but NOT on a country-wide level).

You're quite right, this wouldn't do anything to decrease global warming.

As far as what is happening in Iraq... that is a much more complicated question.  I don't think it can be adequately discussed in a situation such as this.  For one thing:  It doesn't simply involve An oil company.  Governments are involved.  Much more complicated picture, sorry.

  4. ah these countries dont know about it. dont take other countries as fools. someone sees someone digging a hole and a whole company is around. companies need permission from government to use the land so the government is the first to know.

  5. As Suspendor of Starships said, the drills are for steering around bedrock and other obstructions. There's something delightfully naughty about the premise of sucking someone's oil out from under them, but it just isn't possible right now. Besides, if anyone got caught at it, they'd be right in the crosshairs of international trade embargoes, as well as, no doubt, being attacked by the victim of their theft.

  6. What you said was actually Saddam Hussein's purported reason for invading Kuwait in the first gulf war . He claimed Kuwait was cross drilling for oil into Iraq territory . I may have missed something but this didn't get much play on the news as I recall and I don't remember anyone mentioning even if this was or was not found to be the case . It seems rather conspicuous due to the silence on that matter to me . It becomes more difficult daily to have any trust in anyone in government across the globe and at home.

On a recent TV show called modern marvels they performed cross drilling for a  distance of three miles , that could be enough to reach from one country to another properly placed .

  7. I think it's become quite plain that the oil companies are all about profits, and something like this, if it isn't happening already, is likely on the planning board.

  8. The answer to your question is in the book: Energy World War 3  in www.amazon.com  and you can see many answers in www.santanaeffect.com  good luck

  9. Just so you know that because of our political leaders and a whole lot of treehuggers that stop us from drilling in our own country for oil, other countries are doing that now.

Just look out in the gulf.

  10. I liked that commercial before you deep thought it!

It probably is happening and eventually we will find out and think about your question.

There will be a dispute about it and it is definitely illegal.

  11. It's not only possible it is happening ---- "Horizontal drilling has evolved over the past 25 years, and even though it remains more expensive than vertical drilling, greater productivity led to rapid acceptance. Between 3,000 and 4,000 wells are drilled annually with the technology. The record hole is a long-haul monster that wanders almost 7 miles, on the coast of southern England in the Wytch Farm oil field. "

It is very possible that oil is being stolen.  Iraq is not an oil rich country, but Iran is.  Past practice has shown it is possible to steal oil with horizontal drilling.--

"Iraq's Oil Ministry officials claimed that Kuwait was stealing 300,000 barrels of oil per day through the practice of horizontal drilling. That much oil would be worth $3 billion over a year."

  12. LOL. No. That's not how it works. Steerable drills are used to mine individual deposits more effectively. They can't reach out THAT far! This technology merely makes it possible to drill the same area using fewer pumps, and so for a lower price.

And it has NOTHING to do with renewable resources. It's just a stop-gap while YOU come up with a better alternative. So what do you have on YOUR drawing board?

  13. There is a process refereed to as "angle drilling", but every square inch of this planet Earth has been mapped for seismic disturbances. Therefore, if this was being done, everyone of interest will already know. During the Civil War period, many of the southern oil reserves were destroyed. This may have had a great Bering on the outcome of that war. If this were happening in Iraq, there would be no reason to make a democracy out of it. The war would be fought where the oil comes out of the ground. If anyone is taking anything out of Iraq, it's color is red!

  14. it already did cause a war. why do you think Saddam invaded Kuwait?

  15. Theft is legal in some places and some social brackets. Ask Scooter Libby, the Saudi Arabians, and the thieves at Enron.

If you study fossil fuels and who owns what, and where they can drill, you will find many of the "U.S.'s" oil reserves are owned by foreign interests. We-America- are doing the dirty work of the "Saudis" because George Bush and his cronies are getting paid, by the Saudis! The elite billionaire's in this country are all in cahoots! What would happen if even half of America quit driving for a month, we could shut this racket down! Meanwhile the rich 3% elite are exploring Mars as their new planet to reside upon, because eventually they will blow up earth and fly off in their rocket ships to new and exciting planets~So long suckers:(!!!!!!!!!!!!!
